except for probably sticky humid weather?
and the fact that most of the restaurants are closed. No problem for US
tourists of course - they mostly eat pizza! (ducks quickly).
Hi,
just got back from a quick anniversary trip to Paris with my bride...
her first visit to France...
and shall we say her tastes aren't as broad as mine :-} and coming back
she noted that "all the food was good, but I like my hamburgers cooked
more"...
I then noted to her that -I- had had a grand total of 1 hamburger... and
even that one was a hamburger du cheval for "demonstration purposes" (I
told her what we were eating half way through)... I'd had regular
food... for Paris... while she was eating what she admitted was a good
burger at Denfert Rochereau one day -I- was having regular food... steak
tartare and a salade with a glass of cotes du rhone.
she is being more adventurous in her eating though... she did try
several pates etc and did like it that she could get mineral water with
gas everywhere.
as far as August in Paris... isn't that also when they had that HOT
spell a few years ago when dozens died of the heat?
ttyl

Quote: Hi,
as I'm about to take my new wife to Paris for her first visit I've got
LOTS of Paris stuff on my travel blog!
Different places to where you took your old wife I hope Frank?
Hi,
some of the same...
there is the "old neighborhood" to visit after all...
but the "new wife" is VERY different than the EX.... who had only 2
redeeming features 00 :-}
with the EX the first day in Paris on the way from the station our taxi
took us through the front of the Louvre and I pointed that out... EX
didn't even know what it was!
"new wife" is an educated woman, lived in Germany previously, has
studied a bit about Paris, etc.
I've found that having a wife that's both beautiful and my intellectual
equal is -FAR- superior to a wife who is crazy (as in her SISTER signed
her commitment papers) and who's only real pluses hold out her sweater.

Unless you're Mixi.
or realistic. How often is the air "dry"
In Oz and places with deserts, whenever the air blows off the land.
I lost my V-card in Paris. Oh Allison... |
